Sarah works for Nia Community Investments, assisting in a range of tasks to help manage an impact investment portfolio focused on sustainability and social justice, both in Oakland and beyond. Sarah also works for the Stiefel Family Foundation, managing grants and investments in renewal energy and sustainability focused on early-stage startups and non-profits.

 

Sarah received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from U.C. Davis in 2009. She has long been interested in the relationship between local and global systems and their effects on issues of global environmental health, human rights, and social justice.

 

Sarah loves cooking and eating delicious food with friends. She also loves hiking and backpacking throughout all of California’s fantastic forests and parks, and hopes to one day hike in every National Park.
