Granting Philosphy

 

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we seek to do foundation work differently. Owning the paradox that is foundation work, we turn “business as usual” on its head and look outside the traditional philanthropy box. We recognize and attempt to name and address injustices. We are implementing new tools, seeking out our blind spots, in partnership with our community.

Our granting and investing practices reflect this understanding, as we seek out organizations that are tackling root causes of injustice. We also aim to deploy capital to organizations bridging silos and addressing multiple interconnected issues. Visit our Grant Partners page to learn more about who some of these organizations are.
