Investment Policy Statement

We invest, with intention and purpose for the world we want to see. This means that we embrace a long term, slow money approach and that our focus is on levers for social change. We seek to invest in the solutions, and look for those businesses that are part of the transition to the next, fair, just and sustainable economy. We invest in diverse leadership with an emphasis on women and people of color in founding leadership. We are entity and asset class agnostic, though seek to have power and capital grow in communities that need it most. We look to leverage our efforts and to have the most impact possible, meaning collaborations, early stage ventures, loans to entrepreneurs, and loan guarantees. Our primary focus is our home town of Oakland, California.
